BeebMaster - the Domesday Project

BeebMaster's
Domesday
Machine

Attempt 1
15th November 2003

This is the kit I assembled for my first go at getting BeebMaster's Domesday Machine going for the first time. Here we can see:

- BBC Master 128

- SCSI Interface

- SCSI Ribbon Cable

- LV-ROM Player

- Monitor

- Floppy Disc Drive and disc

The floppy drive is not strictly necessary for the Domesday System but I had put the VFS ROM image on disc for loading into sideways RAM.

Missing from this setup are the Turbo Co-processor and the Domesday discs themselves. The idea behind this attempt was for me to connect up Master and LV-ROM and try to get the Videodisc Filing System to communicate with the Laserdisc Player. If you click the arrow to follow the sequence, you will see how I got on.
