Domesday XXV had been packed away for six weeks or so until I re-assembled it all again on 25th November 2011, to prove that I had a working Domesday on the 25th anniversary, and to show any doubters that this hardware isn't obsolete by any reckoning, even after a quarter of a century.

My Domesday Machine had all been packed away neatly and securely upstairs - unlike during 2006-2010 when it had been shoved in a corner and neglected a little bit - but even so, my main concern (apart from worrying about dropping it all down the stairs) was whether it would still work following the repairs in July and the extensive use it had been given from then until mid-October.
