Here I have connected the disc drive to the Master and switched on to check everything still works.

Under normal circumstances, the VFS ROM would be inside the Master already but it must be loaded into sideways RAM from disc for this experiment.

Once loaded, the ribbon cable can be plugged into the back of the LV-ROM player and we can power it up and see if we can get VFS to speak to the Laserdisc player.
