Wonky LV-ROM Player
This is the drive door fully opened. It takes a 12-inch Laserdisc but there appears to be a sub-tray cut out to take a smaller size of disc, perhaps something the size of a compact disc. I don't know if these were available in 1986 so it may just be a design element.
Notice the warning label on the right-hand side of the tray advising users not to trap their fingers when the door is closing. You don't get anything like that on a modern CD player! I suppose the tray on a CD player these days would collapse into bits if a finger got in the way. The LV-ROM is made out of girders and would most likely detach any stray digits.
