BeebMaster's
20th Anniversary
Domesday
Machine

This is the equipment I assembled for what I call my 20th anniversary Domesday Machine. It's very much the same as the February 2004 setup with some important differences.

Firstly, and least importantly, I am using the monitor which came with my A5000 and a new SCART lead and a different SCSI ribbon cable.

Secondly, I decided to treat the BBC Master to an internal 65C102 co-processor, like in a real Master AIV, instead of the external 6502 cheese wedge I used previously. So I borrowed the co-processor which had been living for a while inside Station 1, which is resting on top of the Master.

Thirdly, out goes the Master 512 mouse, which never worked satisfactorily - you could roll it from the top of the dining room table to the bottom and still the pointer would only move down about half a screen - with a Marconi trackerball. Like most of my Domesday equipment, it's not actually Domesday-badged but it's the same thing and best of all, it works a treat.

Apart from that it's the same as before: the same Master 128 with SCSI interface and Econet module added, the same VP-415 LV-ROM player and remote control and the same Domesday discs.
