2nd June 1953 saw the Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey. Exactly sixty years later we witness the Diamond Anniversary of the Coronation, something that's only ever happened once before in all our history!

I'm flying the 2012 two-yard flag in the back garden for the anniversary and I'm glued to the TV set - like millions were in 1953 - watching the full repeat on BBC Parliament!

Whatever you are doing right now, spare a thought for our Queen as yet another extraordinary milestone is reached in Her Long and Glorious Reign!
