This picture set looks at my collection of titles in the 1000 "factual" or "documentary" series. Different series representing different genres were issued concurrently - I've seen an early BBC Video catalogue leaflet listing the first 30 or so titles, and there are releases from the 1000, 5000, 6000, 8000 and 9000 series all available. However, I think it's reasonable to suppose that the earliest 1000 series titles were released first, as this series is specially-produced factual material made at the time when broadcast programmes could not be released. I reckon it's a fairly safe assumption that the first-ever BBC Video title is shown here. Please click on the picture links above to see more.
