I can't remember the exact circumstances of how I brought the power supply in the Acorn Winchester remains back to life in April 2009, but all it took was a reasonably firm tap on the PSU box and it started up! As soon as this happened, I was keen to re-assemble the disc into a complete unit. As I had accumulated a good number of ST506 Winchester discs by this point, it made sense for me to put two drives inside.

Here I have removed the BBC B PSU which was the power supply for so many years, and now surplus to requirements, and added an additional control cable for the second drive.
