After a lot of clanking up and down the disc, the initialisation process is complete and we are prompted for a password file. The file server will not start unless one of the discs has a passwords file so it is best to select Yes to this option for the avoidance of doubt.

The Passwords file will contain the system privileged user SYST together with the users entered at the prompt.
