It's not always that easy to appreciate, operating the Domesday System getting on for thirty years on, how current the material on the Domesday Discs was. It's not a historical account of bygone times, this is an up-to-the-minute snapshot of Britain in the mid 1980s.

If you didn't figure in mid-80s Britain, you won't be found on the Domesday Discs. So the late William Hartnell doesn't appear, and I haven't yet found Jon Pertwee, which means that he wasn't doing anything of national note (to the Domesday Project editors at least) at this period of time.
