Here's how to transmit an F-code to the VP415 via serial. I've written at length elsewhere on here about serial communications with the Philips Laservision players. In this case, I use the serial printer to do the sending, and then use the keyboard buffer as the serial input channel to read any reply or acknowledgement from the player.
