Remember that with the VP415, we have no facility to read the current time code. So we can't request playback from a time code and then repeatedly interrogate the current time code until it is reached. Instead, we set a stop code in the player equivalent to the ending time code and read the reply bus (in this case the serial bus) until the stop acknowledgement is sent.
