Probe Grabbers
They seem to work very well and are much easier to attach to an IC leg like shown here. I had always had trouble with the hook type clips as getting them on and off needed the whole probe to be manoeuvred in and out of position.
With these, it's much easier. Just bring the retracted clip to the leg, press the spring and allow the little grabbers to wrap themselves round the leg. Let go of the clip and the grabbers retract slightly whilst holding onto the leg.
To get it off, just press the spring again and the clip comes loose.
