Although this set is about OSBYTE 170, you may have noticed that it only had a very brief use in the listing. Its purpose is to return the memory location of the ROM table we have been reading. Thereafter the table is peeked directly to print the information. Using OSBYTE 170 is the official way to discover the start point of the ROM information table, but it has remained in a fixed position throughout the BBC MOS version history.
