The Master Compact
in Operation
This is the Master Compact all connected up and ready to go. The Compact was the first three-box computer that Acorn introduced, in September 1986, and not long after, the first Archimedes followed. With the disc drive unit and monitor being part of the package, the Compact was the first "complete" computer system sold by Acorn as an attempt to make inroads into the home computer market.
