Torch Communicator
I'm guessing this ROM goes in the BBC micro to control the Torch. I've never really done much with Torch kit, or the Z80 generally. I'm all in favour of the BBC being able to support different second processor architectures, but you tend to find - except in the case of 6502 of course - any different CPU on the Tube needs its own operating system, and filing system, loading from disc to get it to do anything.
So, with Z80 you need CP/M, or CP/N, with the 80186 in the Master 512 you need DOS Plus, and with the 32016 you need PanOS. For that reason, I don't often do a lot with non-6502 (and non-ARM) second processors, as I rather like being able to use the Acorn OS and filing system.
