Here is an issue 3 board without the Econet upgrade. So far as I know, there were no changes in the Econet interface between issue 2 and 3 so this picture helps us to see more clearly the Econet layout of issue 2 and 3 machines.

The resistors are really crammed in here.

As well as adding all the components required for the Econet upgrade, issue 2 and 3 boards require some modifications involving cutting a couple of tracks and linking the odd IC pin together here and there, although I have to say that these modifications do not appear to have been done to my issue 2 Beeb.
