Secondly, we didn't get home till about midnight from the Diamond Jubilee Concert the night before, following one of the Met's infamous unfathomable people diversions. It was nearly 1 am when I went to bed, and I was supposed to get up at 4am. In the end, I was so worried that I set the alarm for 3.40am and I think it's a good job we arrived when we did.
