I'm afraid that most of what follows from now on - at least in terms of the real proceedings of the Pageant - is all taken from one of the big screens on the Victoria Embankment. By the time we arrived at Temple tube station (which I had thought might be marginally quieter than more well-known stops like Westminster, Embankment or Tower Hill) and had been directed all round the houses by the Police, it was far too late to get anywhere near the riverside, so we had to make do with being there, but only being able to see by watching the screen.
