Using Boxed Elk
The first thing greeting the accustomed BBC user is that it all looks a bit different on the Elk, despite being very similar.
Mode 6 is used, as the Electron has no Teletext facility, so we have HIMEM set as for mode 6 on the BBC micro, losing us 7K of memory that the Beeb has in mode 7.
There's an Acorn acorn on the top line, along with the familiary VDU 7 bleep, but the grrrgling beforehand of a Beeb doesn't happen with the Electron.
All we have inside is BBC BASIC 2, and Electron OS 1.00.
