Although later than the Acorn A4 Econet module, the RISC-PC saw the return of some DIL components, including the 68B54 controller. The module also contains an Econet ROM, which contains the software modules for Econet. This is a departure from earlier 32-bit (and 8-bit) Econet modules, which do not normally have any software on-board. Perhaps the Econet code was not contained in the version of RISC-OS running on the RISC-PC.

At the top is the connector for attaching the module to the RISC-PC and at the bottom is a 15-pin D type Econet connector, the type favoured by Acorn for the A3020 and A4000.
