Level 3
Illustrated
Guide
Most of our lovely 40MB has disappeared now into the Econet partition which cannot be seen from ADFS. Usually a partitioned hard disc would be used exclusively with a Level 3 file server, but if it is to have a combined role as a file server disc and as a standalone disc, the amount of space taken up by the Econet partition can be reduced by creating a "dummy" file before partitioning. This can then be deleted after the disc is initialised for Level 3 Econet, leaving more free space for adding files later.
The Winchester disc ADFS section can also be used to store the file server software in the same way as making a combined storage and software floppy disc.
