With the drive door open, we can see all of the features from the front panel: twin 3½" floppy disc drives, mode light, power light and drive door sensor.

The drive door is hinged with a couple of very delicate little pins which plug into the front of the FileStore. These break easily and this then becomes a big problem as it affects the working of the drive door sensor. Opening the drive door puts the FileStore off-line to allow discs to be changed but a loose drive door mechanism can have unintended consequences.
