BeebMaster - Econet Station 254 - FileStore E20

Station 254
Acorn FileStore E20

The date is inserted automatically. I'm not sure whether it reads this from the Master's CMOS clock, or from the FileStore's own clock. I'm guessing it gets the time from the Master, firstly because the local time is displayed when starting the FileStore utilities, and secondly because the clock in my FileStore E01 is always wrong and doesn't go back as far as 1907 anyway.

The next step is to lay out the disc in the required FileStore format. I'm presuming that what is happening here is similar to what happens when you initialise a floppy disc for use in the Level 3 File Server. You get an awful clattering noise from the drive as it chugs its way through the disc doing something. I still don't know what the something is, but at least here we can see that the something has to be done 38 times.
