There is a further step. The disc now needs to be initialised for use in the FileStore. We might be forgiven for thinking that it has already been initialised, what some people call a high-level format, after we saw that the root and map had been written. I can only presume that what has happened so far is that an ADFS structure has been written to the disc which now needs to be altered to allow its use in the FileStore.
