Underneath the power supply is the fan to keep it cool, as the FileStore was intended to be used for many hours or even indefinitely.

In fact, the power supply which came with the E01S was dead but I initially had it running off a Master Compact PSU. I later replaced it with a spare Compact power supply although this involved me soldering the earth wire onto the PSU circuit board.
