This MDFS has been modified twice, as have most of them. The left-hand label indicates that the Parity modification has been applied and the right-hand label shows it has had the SCSI-2 modification.

Both of these modifications are intended to allow the MDFS to use a larger range of more modern SCSI disc drives which are not always compatible with unmodified units.
