BeebMaster - Econet Test Box

Econet
Test
Box

The circuitry inside the Econet Test Box is fairly simple. There are only three ICs, a Motorola 14411, a 75159 and a 74LS14. In addition, there are 16 resistors, 5 capacitors, a couple of diodes and a relay.

The FileStore Service Manual mentions that one of the tests the Box does is to generate noise on the network and I wonder if the sound of the relay is used as the noise generator.

In the bottom left-hand corner of the circuit board is the Acorn Computer marque and the board is headed "203,012 Iss. 1 Econet Test Box"
