It's only right that the first recording I should do using the good VP415 which I repaired during the first week in July 2011 would be with a Domesday Disc. I chose the Community Disc so that I could see whether the picture streaking problem which had plagued my Domesday 2010 work using the "wonky" VP415 would manifest itself here. This is the setup: RGB DVD recorder, good VP415, remote control and Fidelity Monitor, still showing no signs that it would snuff it just three weeks later.
