It's worked, we have successfully sent the Pause command to the LV-ROM player from the BBC. Without going into the details here, an ASCII code "/" is the command for pause, and each command must be terminated by a carriage return to be accepted by the LV-ROM player. When we issue VDU3 to cancel printing, the contents of the buffer are sent to the player and the command, if valid, is executed.
