BeebMaster's Domesday Machine
SCSI Interface
Here is the underside of the SCSI interface. The board is a slightly redesigned version of the original SASI host adapter which was used with the 1MHz bus for SASI and some SCSI hard discs. It isn't interchangeable with the 1MHz bus host adapter, however, as it functions slightly differently and exists in a different place in the BBC micro memory map.
If the SCSI board had been an add-on connected via the 1MHz bus, all kinds of hard disc possibilities might have opened up. Unfortunately, it looks like the Acorn SCSI adapter is pretty much hard-wired solely for use with the Videodisc Filing System on the Domesday Project.
