The first repair job was to change the burnt-out orange capacitor. Although I didn't know which capacitor of the two dead ones had blown first, I selected this as the first for repair for a couple of reasons. In a Beeb's PSU, the thing continues working even after the X2 capacitors explode, so they aren't critical to the functioning of the supply. Whichever one had gone first in PSU B hadn't stopped it working, so I was guessing it was the other, X2, capacitor which had gone first. The other reason was that these orange ones turned up in the post first, the X2 ones being on back-order.
