If in the previous picture I was merrily reassembling the now repaired and fully-functioning VP415, with modules H, L, F and P from the VP410, perhaps metaphorically patting myself on the back, and maybe, even dreaming about the day I might be able to have TWO DOMESDAY MACHINES, then this brought me very firmly back down to earth.

I can't be at all sure whether this latest problem is a new fault which has developed since I started to put the player back together, or whether it was always there but just hadn't decided to show itself in all the testing I'd been doing.
