LV-ROM Player
Round the back is an extensive set of connectors and buttons for all kinds of audio-visual purposes. From the left, on the main part of the player, we have the power switch, mains cable socket, replay button, serial baud rate DIP switches, remote input selector, remote wire socket, RS232C serial port, audio in and out, SCART socket, horizontal shift and CVBS in and out.
There are audio and video inputs as well as outputs on the back of the VP415 because the player has the option to be connected to an external audio-visual source, which can be displayed and mixed with the computer RGB input as an alternative to the video on the laserdisc being played.
The bottom tranche, known as the Domesday Sandwich, is a bolted-on part which turns a VP410 into a VP415 and has an RGB input as well as SCSI interface 50-way connector and SCSI device ID number DIP switches.
