This is Module F, the motor and sequence module, which drives the disc turntable motor, allowing it to operate at constant speed for CAV discs or variable speed for CLV discs, and also provides the braking mechanism to decelerate the turntable when it needs to slow down during the playing of CLV discs, or come to a complete stop for standby or eject.
