Domesday DVD HDMI Capture
Next, the same picture using the new method: the picture from the LV-ROM player is from the same source, my Sony DVD Recorder, but instead of using its own recording functions, I have passed the DVD recorder output through its HDMI socket and into my HDMI to USB capture stick and then I can capture screens on my Desktop PC using OBS Studio.
It has two advantages - higher resolution pictures: this image is 1280x1024; and I can capture in real time without having to record everything to the DVD recorder's hard disc, then dub it to DVD, then copy the DVD on my PC and then extract frames, which is a very cumbersome process.
