Apart from the problem of getting it from a PC to an ADFS floppy disc, using only laptops without floppy drives, there was the additional complication that Cave was saved as a zip archive file which could only be opened with an archive reader. Although the Beeb can do this with the right utility, a further problem was that it couldn't be extracted to an ADFS disc on the Beeb because some of the directories had more than 47 entries, which as you all know, is the maximum for BBC ADFS.
The A5000 was a bit of a lifesaver because it could read the Archive using Sparkplug and extract Cave to the hard drive where the RISC-OS ADFS directory limit is a bit bigger (77 files I think). After that it was simplicity itself to use the A5000 to copy the extracted files on the server.
Phew!!
