No classic computer gaming convention would be complete without Elite, and there were a good few instances knocking about at Byte-Back. Elite is thought of as one of the all-time classic games, but not everybody knows that it originated on the BBC Model B.

It spawned versions on many other platforms, and there are at least 5 versions for Acorn machines alone: BBC B version, BBC B sideways RAM version, BBC Master colour version, Second Processor version and the Archimedes version.

Here the Master 128 version is running on Dave Glover's Master, and I'm being shown how to dock manually. I can't do it, and I'll never be able to do it, so it's a good job I've got that cheat version where you start with 100000000000000000 credits so you can buy a docking computer before going anywhere.

Oh - that'll be 6 Acorn versions then. At least!
