BeebSales 19th January 2003
"BeebSales" was how it all started at the beginning of 2003. I had begun Beebing again in 2001 and was filling up the house with Beebs that nobody else seemed to want. The idea was to sell off hardware surplus to requirements.
I didn't have much experience of online shopping at the time and had only been a member of E-Bay for a few weeks, so I decided to start my own website to advertise the sales.
I also didn't know much about writing webpages in early 2003 so I typed it all up as a Word document and saved it as a webpage. Needless to say, with it coming from Microsoft, about 109% of the HTML is file taken up with useless slurry clogging up the world wide web, but I didn't know any better at the time.
Through BeebSales, I did offload a few machines - mainly Masters - but it wasn't long before I resented selling things and wanted to keep my hands on as much Beebery as possible! I decided to close down BeebSales and start a new website which would focus on my Beeb collection.
I only have one surviving archive copy of "BeebSales" - from 19th January 2003 - and I hope you will click on the picture link above to take a look round my very first website.
