I settled on the name "BeebMaster" for my website and registered the domain name. During April 2003, I set about photographing some of my collection, with a very low-spec webcam I had bought, and writing it all up. I centred on my little Econet which I had set up in 2002. By this time, I had learnt the rudiments of HTML and was writing my own webpages in a simple text editor, something I've been doing ever since.

As you can see from the picture above, the feel of BeebMaster hasn't changed in ten years but the first homepage was pretty basic.

This is the earliest archive copy I have been able to find, dating from 20th April 2003, just short of a fortnight before the official launch. I hadn't yet decided on the exact launch date, I was just adding bits day by day until I felt that the website was ready. This "pre-release" version does have some gaps, most of which were filled before May 1st.

I haven't been able to find an exact replica of BeebMaster as it looked on 1st May 2003, but I hope you will click on the picture link above to see for the first time the earliest version in existence.
