This is the bottom left-hand corner of the motherboard and the disc interface. A 1770 interface is fitted, with a genuine Western Digital 1770 floppy disc controller at its heart. An 8271 interface may be fitted as an alternative option and the space for the 8271 overlaps with the 1770.
