This is my own amendment to a programme in "Atomic Theory and Practice". I added the loop to give an animated sequence.

I've turned the result into the Atom's very own motion picture which you can watch here.

There's a lot of people out there who would pay a lot of money to get a screensaver like that!

The "snow" you can see in the picture isn't a badly tuned TV set but a lovely "crackle" which goes across the screen every time the Atom updates the display. I think it's lovely. It is a very endearing quirk of this amazing little machine.

In the short space of a Sunday afternoon, the Acorn Atom has become one of my favourite computers of all time.
