One of the exciting features of Acorn World was the number of talks with the great and the good of Beebing which had been organised. The final session on the Sunday afternoon was a talk by Professor Steve Furber, one of the designers of the BBC micro. He gave an address on the development of the Beeb right through to the ARM era and beyond.

It was such a privilege to be able to meet one of the architects of the world's greatest computer. He's so famous that he's mentioned in the BBC B operating system ROM. Go on, have a look at the credits at the end now!

Told you so!
