By this point I was getting into sideways RAM but I found I couldn't use banks 4 and 5 of SRAM, so I wrote in again.

The answer which came back was most helpful and solved the problem. In fact, the details in the Master Reference Manual are WRONG because they refer to wrong links so take note of the above!
